Perfect Pairings :: Lindsay Starr + Dana Swisher + Jan Onipenco

I don't know when I have ever seen a more perfectly literal translation of the challenge inspiration painting! The colors in this palette are a real challenge for most of us, so we might select one or two to focus on. Not Miss Lindsay! She attacked this challenge head on! She started with that deep indigo tree, the freeform stitching she used is perfect to mimic that organic shape. She used what she had and solved some problems with the potential collapse of the white tree branches by stitching in some perfect pumpkin colored lampwork. What I also love is that Miss Lindsay gives close up photos of every step of her journey with this challenge on her blog. You have to go and check it out!

This necklace is truly amazing. I really love it as a piece itself and as an interpretation of the painting. Great work!
